District Governor: Thomas Kerr
Tom Kerr was born and raised on Long Island. Lived in Massapequa and graduated from Berner High School in 1964 in its first graduating class. After high school he joined the Air Force and was stationed in Japan for 2 years and 1 year in Thailand. Upon his return to the U.S. he went to Nassau Community College and graduated with a marketing degree. While at Nassau Community College he met his wife Linda.

It was after they were engaged that her father asked if Tom would manage an office in the Hamptons selling real estate. Tom and Linda were married in 1972 and moved into their new home in Westhampton that year. Later he became involved in his father-in-law's insurance agency and upon his retirement bought the business from him in partnership with his sister-in-law, Terrie Bauer. They have two children ... Thomas and Michaela. Both have been raised with Rotary. Michaela is presently the President of her Rotaract Club at Arcadia University. Their son is an accountant with KPMG and a Paul Harris Fellow.
Tom joined the Westhampton Rotary Club in 1981 sponsored by Bobby Haas. He is a Past President, former Assistant Governor, COPS Chairperson, current Youth Exchange Inbound Chairperson and a Paul Harris Fellow. His wife Linda is currently the Chairperson for RYLA and a Paul Harris Fellow. Tom has been a member of the Remsenburg - Speonk School Board for over 10 years serving as President for 2 years. He is currently a principle in the William G. Hentschel Insurance Agency founded in 1920 and family owned since that time. He feels the "Four Way Test" is the best way to run a business and your life.
