A Shot of Shatz

Glad To Be Back

E-mail Print PDF

It has been a while but I am glad to be back in print and hopefully I have done this correctly so I do not have to have Lloyd or Chuck search for it somewhere in cyber-space. I have just returned from Arizona and Mexico by way of Chicago. Temperature averaged about 101-105 each day, but, and I know everyone thinks ot is a joke, it was dry heat. It really is much more comfortable, especially with humidity in the teens.

After that successful anniversay dinner, our next big function is the 5-K run. Hopefully we can make the same amount as we did at the dinner so we can fund all our programs.

Theater-wise, there are a lot of nearby affordable productions on the Island. Check the Bellport Playhouse, Smithtown Center for Perfomaing Arts. Bellport at the Patchogue Theatre and Bayway Arts. There is a theatre in Northport,. Their pr oductions are Broadway talented but their prices are Broadway too. This month, you can see many shows that have been on Broadway previously such as "Marvelous Wonderettes", "Altar Boyz" and others.

Some of the e-mails I receive from club members and other that get my attention.

Amazing anagrams  MORSE CODE.Rearrange the letters to form Here Come Dots.

                            DORMITORY   becomes Dirty Room

SLOT MACHINES becomes Lost In Me

                           ANIMOSITY becomes Is No Amity

So this dwarf, who was a mystic escaped from jail. The call went out that there was a small medium at large.

Finally, there was the person who sent twenty different puns to his friends with the hope that at least ten of the puns would make them laugh. No pun in ten did!

See you all at the next meeting!
